If you think your applications are running slow because of missing CPU performance, the first thing you should check is on what CPU emulation your server is running.
Our default settings are made for compatibility and not necessarily for performance to make sure that what ever OS ( Linux / Windows / BSD / ... ) you might want to run, that it will usually always work.
We offer a great selection of CPU Emulations to run your OS / application on.
This and much more can be configured in the control panel of your server.
You will find by logging into the clientarea and clicking:
-> services
-> your server that you ordered
In the control panel you will find on the right hand side the tab "Settings" and under settings you will find "Hardware".
Clicking on it will open a window with all kind of hardware settings like the disk controller, NIC emulation and also the CPU Type.
If you want to give your OS a maximum of features, you can just select "host" and click update hardware settings.
Or you can choose another CPU type if your OS / application is optimized for this specific CPU type.
ATTENTION: Please make sure that you will NOT choose a CPU type that is not compatible with the server you ordered! For example if you ordered an Intel CPU based server, you should NOT select "Epyc" as CPU Type, or any other non-intel CPU emulation. Vice versa if you have a server that runs on an AMD cpu, you should not select Intel CPU emulations. If you do it, your server will most probably stop working!
This will change your CPU emulation to the selected CPU. After a hardware restart ( Power Off / Power On ) the new setting will become active.
Please check again if your application is still running too slow.
If the problem remains, please open a ticket and include some informations what exactly is slow and why do you think its CPU related.
